Remembering September 11, 2001

by

On this day of remembrance, our thoughts and prayers are with all those who lost their lives on this day 10 years ago. May their family and friends continue to find strength and peace as we all reflect on what was lost that day.

Despite all the sorrow of September 11, 2001, stories of the heroism and generosity from that time continue to inspire people around the world. These stories show us that even when it seems like the world is falling apart all around us, people come together and do whatever they can to help.

Here is one of the stories I came across this week that I found particularly moving. It’s a brief documentary about the Boatlift – the evacuation of Manhattan Island on the day of the attacks – the largest sea evacuation in history.

What are some of the stories from September 11, 2001 that have inspired you? Please share them in the comments.
